A Four-Week Prayer & Art Journaling Workshop
Mondays from 7-8pm.
What if prayer could become something you experience not only through words, but also through color, texture, and creative expression?
Join us for a four-week creative gathering as we explore ways to incorporate art journaling into our personal prayer lives. Inspired by my book, Pour Out Your Art, this workshop uses the ACTS prayer model as a framework for creative reflection, connection with God, and community with one another.
Each week, we'll explore a different aspect of prayer through a guided art-journaling activity:
Week 1 (10/26) — Adoration: Expressing wonder, worship, and appreciation for who God is.
Week 2 (11/2) — Confession: Making space for honest reflection, grace, and forgiveness.
Week 3 (11/9) — Thanksgiving: Practicing gratitude and recognizing God's goodness in our lives.
Week 4 (11/16) — Supplication: Bringing our hopes, needs, and prayers before God.
We'll experiment with a variety of art materials and techniques, including painting, collage, drawing, and mixed media. Along the way, we'll explore how creative practices can encourage mindfulness, emotional expression, and a more intentional rhythm of prayer.
No artistic experience is necessary! This is not about making beautiful artwork or finding the perfect words to pray. It's about exploring, creating, and discovering new ways to connect with God.
We'll also enjoy time together in a welcoming, small-group setting. Sharing is always optional, and your journal is your own personal space.

Make a little space in your week to create!
Tuesday Morning Art Journaling is a relaxed, drop-in creative hour for adults who want to slow down, try something new, and enjoy making art alongside others. Each week, I’ll have a simple art journaling idea or technique to get us started, along with plenty of materials to explore—paint, collage, drawing, color, texture, and more.
This isn’t about being “good at art” or creating a perfect finished piece. It’s simply a chance to play, experiment, talk, laugh, and make something with your hands.
No art experience is needed, and each Tuesday stands on its own, so come whenever your schedule allows!
What to bring:
Bring your own art journal or mixed-media sketchbook if you have one. If you’re new to art journaling and don’t have a journal yet, no worries—I’ll have paper available for your first visit.
All other art materials are provided.
$20 per person, per session
Space is limited. Please register with 24 hour notice to reserve your spot.

This series of five weekly sessions explores the basic elements of art through drawing; line, shape, form, value, texture, and color. A sketch book and pencils is recommended for in-class warm-ups and optional homework. One take-home piece will be created each week in class with supplies provided by the art instructor. This is a great introductory to art for ages 8 and up!
